5 Star Book Predictions Spring 2018

Welcome to my new 5 star predictions!

I really love doing these, because it’s so much fun to predict the books I will enjoy the most in the next couple of months. I chose 4 YA books and one mystery novel.

The Astonishing Color of After –  Emily X.R. Pan

Release date: March 20th 2018

This book sounds absolutely beautiful. I have so much high hopes for this to be the perfect mix between emotional and magical. It’s a contemporary YA about a girl who looses her mother trough suicide and after that she goes to Taiwan to meet her grandparents for the first time. Combine of all of this amazingness  with the fact that this book is Magical Realism, one of my favourite genres, and this just can’t go wrong. I will always vote for books that bring awareness and if this book deals with mental health in a good  way, I’ll love probably love this book ’till the end of time.

Ash Princess – Laura Sebastian

Release date:  April 24th 2018

This is a 5 star prediction I’m actually not completely sure about. I hope it will be super amazing. But, it can be something I’ve read 100 times before. So, this is more of a “I’m hoping it will be the amazing new YA fantasy series we all need, but it can turn out rather boring”. I’ll keep my hopes up!

To Kill a Kingdom – Alexandra Christo

Release date: March 6th 2018

A book about a lethal siren royalty sounds so amazing! I’m a fan of all the recent books featuring girl/woman pirates and this takes it even farther. Princess Lira is the most lethal of the siren royalty and I don’t even care for the rest of the summary, I’m in! After the Shades of Magic series and the Daughter of the Pirate King. I’ll just read everything in this genre that I see on my Goodreads feat. I’m so exited for this one!

Starry Eyes – Jenn Bennett

Release date: April 3rd 2018

The last YA book on my list! I think/hope this book will be the guilty pleasure of this list. It’s about two ex-friends who aren’t talking to each other for over a year AND  they get lost together alone in the wild. Sounds like this is going to be incredibly juicy and such a fun read. It’s also a romance and that gives it an even higher place on my list. Definitely a must read for this spring!

Bring Me Back – B.A. Paris

release date: June 19th 2018

The only mystery novel on my list, and indeed B.A. Paris is an exception for me in general. My favourite mystery author is back with a new book and I’m so excited about it! After her first two books Behind Closed Doors and The Breakdown I just want to read every book she’s going to publish ever. I can’t wait for it to come out so I can devour it.

That was it for this edition of the 5 star reviews! I hope you liked it!
