Reading Habits Book Tag

Welcome!

It’s time for another book tag! Oh, I love doing these so much. This week I found the Reading Habits tag on Mousai Books and it looked like such a fun one to do!

1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

I love reading in my bed. Just lying down is my favourite way to read. I find it very relaxing.

2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?

I have a lot of bookmarks but the problem is that I never seem to find one when I need it! They always disappear. So, I end up too many times using the first thing that I see, which can be everything, I don’t limit myself to paper only.

3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/a certain amount of pages?

I try to always stop after at the end of a chapter. sadly, I fail a lot of the time. I read on the train and it’s almost impossible to sync my reading speed with the length of my daily commute.

4. Do you eat or drink while reading?

The rare occasions where I prepare something to eat or ding while I’m reading, I’m so intruiged by the story that I forget my snack and end up not eating it. So, I don’t tend to snack when I’m reading anymore (not a big fan of cold tea and having to rewarm it).

5. Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

No, the quieter the better when I’m reading. I find it really hard to concentrate when there is background noise.

6. One book at a time or several?

Several! I’m currently reading 7 books at the same time. If I wouldn’t do that, I would probably be in a constant reading slump. Only with books that are amazing and on my favourites list I

7. Reading at home or everywhere?

Everywhere, I take my Kindle with me everywhere I go. And in case I forget my Kindle I always have some books on my phone that I plan on reading in the next few months. I always listen to Audiobooks when I’m in the car or even brushing my teeth. So even when I can’t read, I’m still trying to satisfy my reading thirst.

8. Read out loud or silently in your head?

Silently, reading silently saves a lot if time. And it’s a bit weird to read out loud when there’s no one listening, isn’t it?

9. Do you read ahead or skip pages?

I only skip pages when I reread a book. When I’m reading my favourite books I don’t need to read all those details you need to understand the story. You can go right to the juicy parts.

10. Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

If it’s a special edition or a very expensive book I will try to keep them looking like new. But if they are just normal books I don’t really care about it. It shows that a book is read.

11. Do you write in your books?

No, never. Or maybe on the first page when I’m giving them to someone as a gift. I love those little messages, they make my day.

I hoped you liked my tag! If you like to do this tag too, consider yourself tagged! 🙂
