Book Review: Sweep in Peace (Innkeeper Chronicles #2) – Ilona Andrews
Title: Sweep in Peace Author: Ilona Andrews Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform Release date: November 13th 2015 Genre: Fantasy
Dina DeMille doesn’t run your typical Bed and Breakfast. Her inn defies laws of physics, her fluffy dog is secretly a monster, and the only paying guest is a former Galactic tyrant with a price on her head. But the inn needs guests to thrive, and guests have been scarce, so when an Arbitrator shows up at Dina’s door and asks her to host a peace summit between three warring species, she jumps on the chance.
Unfortunately, for Dina, keeping the peace between Space Vampires, the Hope-Crushing Horde, and the devious Merchants of Baha-char is much easier said than done. On top of keeping her guests from murdering each other, she must find a chef, remodel the inn…and risk everything, even her life, to save the man she might fall in love with. But then it’s all in the day’s work for an Innkeeper…

This book felt like coming home after a long and hard day. I’m so happy this couple decide to start writing books because they are so good at what they do.
After we had to say goodbye to Sean at the end of book 1 I was a tiny bit worried that this book would be one of those boring filler kind of books. I shouldn’t have spend one second worrying because it wasn’t boring ever not even a little bit. yes, it’s a bit sad that we don’t have Sean as a neighbour anymore but apparently their is enough going on without him.
I had such a fun time reading about Dina trying to keep everyone from fighting and blowing up her inn. There were so many things that actually surprised me. Lately books have trouble surprising me. I think I read to many fantasy books and they just use the same “surprises” over and over again. Not this book.
We got so many new characters, and some old characters came back so we really got to know them so much better.
