Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’m Looking Forward To in the Second Half of 2018!!
It has been such a long time since I last did a Top Ten Tuesday post! At least two months. OMG, I’m almost embarassed! I missed doing this weekly thing so much and I can’t wait to start again!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. This week’s theme is: ” Best Books I’ve Read In 2018 (So Far)”. I actually already did a best books of 2018 so far! (Oops ? ). So, I’m going to do a “Books I’m Looking Forward To for the Second Half of 2018” list this week!
1. Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass #7) – Sarah J. Maas
WHY DO WE STILL NOT HAVE A COVER??? We have been waiting for this book for YEARS and it’s almost time!! I don’t know if I’m ready for this story to be over, but I just need to know how it ends! It’s such a bitter sweet feeling.
2. The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy
Another book I feel bittersweet about, but for an entire different reason. After I read The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue, I loved it so much and I wanted to keep talking about it, but that title is soooo loooooooong, it just keeps going! One part of me really wants to love this book as much as I loved the first, but another part of me is already dreading all the times I will have to write this title.
3. Muse of Nightmares (Strange the Dreamer #2) – Laini Taylor
This is a book you guys should feel bittersweet about! ? If it is anything as amazing as Strange the Dreamer, I will be mentioning this book in every single post I write for the next six months after it comes out! I already mentioned it way too much and it isn’t even published!
4. The Impossible Girl – Lydia Kang
Last year I read The November Girl (review) by Lydia Kang and I loved it so much! So when I read that Kang is publishing a new book I was instantly sold! The story is about Cora Lee, who is the only female resurrectionist in New York, in 1850. The story sounds so unique and amazing and I just can’t wait to read it!
5. Spinning Silver – Naomi Novik
I really loved Uprooted by Naomi Novik , and although I still need to read her famous Temeraire series, I still can’t wait to read her newest book.
6. Sea Witch – Sarah Henning
This cover alone is a good reason to freak out!!
Lately I’ve been completely obsessed with “bad” magical main characters, and sirens are a perfect example! I really really really loved To Kill a Kingdom and this book gives so many similar vibes. I just can’t wait!
7. Sadie – Courtney Summers
i don’t normally do mysteries, but this is going to be an exception. I already heard so many great things about this book and I just need to know why almost everyone seems to love this book!
8. Grim Lovelies – Megan Shepherd
The title and cover combination is just made for me. The story tops it up even more. It sounds so magical and just dark enough. I love love love magical realism and this sounds just like that.
9. A Room Away From the Wolves – Nova Ren Suma
A YA contemporary about a girl with a past. It sounds like a must read book that is going to be a major hype after it comes out! This book also has a lot of good reviews already. I can’t wait until it’s September!
10. The Gilded Wolves (The Gilded Wolves #1) – Roshani Chokshi
I’ve not yet read The Star-Touched Queen but it surely was quite the hype. I don’t know if I’ll ever find the time to read that series, but I’m going to try and jump on this train from the beginning!
