Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings
I have a big deadline for my master thesis on thursday so this is going to be a bit shorter than I normally post.
Don’t shoot me, I promise this is going to be a one time event!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.
I know it’s really shallow, but I enjoy getting/giving pretty books as a gift so much more! This week I will be focussing on books that have beauty AND brains. Books I really really really want to read and that look beautiful too!
1. Harry Potter: A History of Magic – J.K. Rowling
This looke like such a pretty books!! From what I’ve seen online, this book seems filled with beautiful pictures and drawings! I actually know that this one is already lying under my Christmas three!! It’s so cool that it was actually made with the help of the Britsch Library. I would love to go watch the real exhibition. But a shortage of time and money prohibit me of going to London any time soon.
2. The Grishaverse Series – Leigh Bardugo
I have already read the Six of Crows duology. But somehow I haven’t found the time to read this one. It’s high on my TBR list, but one way or another there always seems to be another book that cries for my attention first.
3. The Hate U Give – Angie Thomas
This book was in my 5 Star Predictions post from last Thursday! Everyone is reading this and everyone is loving it. I also think the cover is really unique so that’s even more reasons to love it before I even read it.
4. Language of Thorns – Leigh Bardugo
Love speaks in flowers. Truth requires thorns.
This book needs to be bought for the cover alone. Sometimes it feels like my bookstagram acount is the only one without at least one picture of this book! The story itself also sounds like it’s really amazing! I’m first going to read the grisha trilogy, but I wouldn’t mind getting it already because it’s just sooo pretty!
5. They Both Die at the End – Adam Silvera
Another one that made it onto my 5 Star Predictions post! That title makes every curious bone in my body grow two sizes! Do they really both die at the end? (DON’T ANSWER THAT QUESTION! I WANT TO FIND THAT OUT MYSELF).
6. Written in My Own Heart’s Blood (Outlander #8) – Diana Gabaldon
I own all the Outlander books, except for this one! I only read the first 4 books, but I fully intend to read them all. And A completed series looks so much better on a shelf. Seriously, it’s such a big part of my shelf and it’s just stabbing out my eyes everytime I look at them and remember that I don’t have all of them.
7. This Savage Song – Victoria Schwab
I just finished the Shades of Magic series and now I need to read more books by Victoria Schwab. I really wouldn’t mind finding this book under need our Chrismas three. I’m repeating myself, but it’s again such a gorgeous cover!! I need that font on every piece of paper I own!
8. Autoboyography – Christina Lauren
This cover is just absolutely adorable ?. The colours are beautiful and everything is just perfect about it! A book with a beautiful cover and 4.42 rating on Goodreads must be a Chrismas present winner!
9. Eliza and Her Monsters – Francesca Zappia
This book got so much hype and it has such a gourgeous cover. I saw it everywhere on my social media feed. I want to join the hype!
10. Renegades – Marissa Meyer
Super heroes seem to be a very big hype in the YA world lately! I’m not complaining because all the once I read so far were really enjoyable! I haven’t finished the Cinder series yet (I’m hoping that I can start in the second one soon!)
Again, I’m really sorry that I put a bit less effort in this weeks post, but I still have to right 3 pages and reread all 52 pages before tomorrow noon (if you’re reading this post on tuesday ? ). But after Wednesday my life goes back to it’s normal speed and I’ll have more time to write better posts!!
Which books are on your wishlist for the holidays? Let me know in the comments!
See you next time!
