Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I’m Already Fangirling Over For 2018

2017 was a very good book year for me, but I’m positive 2018 is going to be an even better year!
Now Christmas is over Everybody: “ooooooooh” 😯, we need to stay a little festive just a little bit longer!! What better way than by looking at all the bookish gifts our favourite authors will give us this year!!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This weeks theme is: Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward to In 2018.

1. All the new Sarah J. Maas books

If you know me, you probably know that I’m a big Sarah J. Maas fan. If you didn’t, KNOW YOU KNOW SOMETHING MORE ABOUT ME, CONGRATULATIONS!
2018 is not bringing 1, not even 2, but 3 books by Sarah J. Maas, and I haven alreay been waiting for all of them for what feels like centuries!

1. A Court of Frost and Starlight (Court of Thorns and Roses #3.5

Release date: May 1st 2018
I’M SO HYPED. When I finished A Court of Wings and Ruin, I have to admit that I was a bit dissapointed with the ending. It was too rushed and fast and it didn’t feel like the ending such a great series deserved (and I didn’t deserve that ending either). At that time there was talk about other books in the series, but with other characters. Now we know that we get another book staring our favourite book squat and I probably wouldn’t have been so dissapointed with the ending if I had known this earlier on.

I’m so happy we get another book narrated by Feyre and Rhysand and the summary sounds soooo awesome. Feyre’s birthday, Winter Solstice AND A WEDDING. May 1st is a holiday in Belgium and I already know how I’m going to spend that day. READING, NOTHING ELSE.

2. Catwoman: Soulstealer (DC Icons, #3)

Release date: August 7th 2018

When the Bat’s away, the Cat will play. It’s time to see how many lives this cat really has. . . .

After Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo I’m really exited to see what the other authors will do with their super hero. I’m not a real super hero fan (exept for Thor, but that may have something to do with the fact that Chris Hemsworth plays that character) but Bardugo made Wonder Woman very YA friendly. This is the one out of the 4 I’m looking forward to the most.

3. Throne of Glass #7

Release date: September 4th 2018

This book hasn’t even got a title yet. Out of the three, this book is the one I need the most (and typically it’s also the one I’ll have to wait for the longest). I need to know what happens next after the amazing and torturing ending of book #5, Empire of Storms.

2.The Muse of Nightmares (Strange the Dreamer #2) – Laini Taylor

I know there isn’t a release date for this book yet, but a girl can hope!
If this book is getting published in 2018, this is the book I will be looking forward to the most next year! Strange the Dreamer was my absolute favourite book of 2017. I still can’t stop raving about it and I already need a reread! After strange the Dreamer I think that Laini Taylor instantly became my favourite author. I haven’t read a single mediocer book that’s written about her and I love all the books I’ve read from her so far.

I also need to know what the cover is going to look like. I’m hoping it will be as gorgeous as the cover of Strange the Dreamer!

3. Shadowsong – S. Jae-Jones

Release date: February 6th 2018

This is book is the next book in the Wintersong series (You can find my review of Wintersong #1 here.). Although I wasn’t completely in love with the first book, I did find it had a lot of potential. So I’m really looking forward to see what the next one is going to be about! Because of the Wintery feel Wintersong had, I’m going to try and read this book the moment it comes out and not wait with it until the middle of Summer, like I did with Winterson.

4. Batman: NightwalkerΒ (DC Icons #2) – Marie Lu

Release date: January 2nd 2018

This release date is only a week away!!!
I have to admit, I really didn’t like Warcross, but I’m not going to kill of every book by Lu just because one wasn’t my thing. Just like with Catwoman by Sarah J. Maas, I’m looking forward to this one because of how good Wonderwoman by Leigh Bardugo was! I also really like the covers in this series, so dark and awesome!

5. This Heart of Mine – C.C. Hunter

Release date: February 27th 2018

This book is about a girl who receives a heart transplant and finds out it was from a boy from her school who they say has killed himself. After the transplant she starts to get plagued by dreames and she wants to discover what really happened to the boy.
This sounds like a really beautiful story that I would love to read.

6. Bring Me Back – B.A. Paris

Release date: March 8th 2018

Last year I read Behind Closed Doors and it was the best mystery/thriller book I have ever read. She deffinitely is my favourite mystery author. A few months ago I read her newest book The Breakdown and although it wasn’t as good as Behind Closed Doors it still was a very good book. In 2018 we get a knew book by B.A. Paris! This one is about a young woman that disapeared many years ago and now there are signs that she’s back!!! I hope it spooks me as much as Behind Closed Doors did!

7. Daughter of the Siren Queen (Daughter of the Pirate King, #2)

Release date: February 27th 2018

In 2017 I found out that I really love reading about girl pirates. I loved the first book in this series soooo much. I also read the Darker Shades series by V.E. Schwab and if you have read that series, you know how amazing Lila is as a pirate.

After The Daughter of the Pirate King (Check out my review here) I just need the next book in this series RIGHT NOW.

8. The Hazel Wood – Melissa Albert

Release date: January 30th 2018

Creepy YA fantasy? COUNT ME IN! After reading waaaay too many reviews about this book I’m convinced this book really is my sort of book.

9. The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy (Guide, #2) – Mackenzi Lee

Release date: October 2nd 2018
Another book with an awesome pirate girl!!

10. Everless – Sara Holland

Release date: January 2nd 2018

Another release that is less than a week away!
I love stories were time is currency. It makes everything so much more risky. If you made a bad investement, you could be death by tomorrow morning.
After reading many raving reviews about this book, I really want to read this.

QUESTION: What books do you look out to the most in 2018? Do we have any books in common? Let me know!!
